This position will be appointed 20-hours per week. Responsibilities Apply Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite data to river discharge estimation, hydrologic modeling, and water resources research. Develop and implement methods and workflows for data processing, quality control, analysis, and interpretation of SWOT data products. Develop and evaluate rating curves and discharge estimation methods using SWOT observations, in situ gauge data, and remote sensing datasets. Compare SWOT observations and model outputs against other satellite datasets and ground-based observations to assess accuracy and consistency. Perform statistical analyses to evaluate model performance, discharge uncertainty, and error propagation in SWOT-based estimates. Analyze large geospatial and remote sensing datasets using scripting/programming tools. Prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals and contribute to the broader scientific literature. Write technical reports, research summaries, data documentation, and conference papers summarizing methods and findings. Required Qualifications Master Degree in a related field 2 years applicable experience. Experience with python, R. Prior experience with SWOT data. Prior experience with hydrological modeling.
