Construction Manager/Project Manager (Full-Time)

If you thrive on delivering new and renovated facilities and have built your career in construction contract administration, change management, quality assurance, construction management, field engineering, or related disciplines, we want to hear from you.What You'll Do:You will serve as an owner representative during the pre-construction, construction, and building acceptance phases of medium- to large-scale projects. Depending on a project's size and complexity, you may work as part of a collaborative team or operate independently, coordinating quality, cost, schedule, and contractor activities on behalf of the client/owner. You will interact directly with owners, designers, contractors, and specialty stakeholders to facilitate successful project delivery.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Collaborate with the project delivery team to proactively identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategiesReview project schedules to verify they are complete, feasible, and reasonable; track progress against the accepted scheduleLead and/or participate in progress meetings; prepare or review meeting minutes to verify completeness and accuracyProvide quality management, including participation in preparatory/pre-installation meetings, and perform or oversee QA/QC inspections to verify work complies with contract requirementsDocument and track issues through resolution by collaborating with contractors, designers, and ownersReview change order proposals for entitlement and price; lead or assist in negotiationsCoordinate reviews and testing with commissioning authorities and authorities having jurisdictionCoordinate reviews or installations by third-party specialty stakeholders, consultants, or installers for electronic security, doors/hardware, IT/AV systems, and manufacturing/process systems and equipmentCoordinate punchlist and acceptance activities with the designer and other project stakeholdersMonitor and verify completion of closeout requirements, including owner training, operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, and stock materialsQualificationsWho We Are Looking ForExperience:7 to 10 years of combined education and/or experience in the design and/or construction processProgressive career development in construction contract administration, change management, construction quality assurance, construction management, field engineering, or related fieldsSupporting the successful delivery of new and/or renovated facilitiesScheduling experience is not required but is desiredEducation/Knowledge:High school diploma or GED plus 15 years of related experience and/or education; or a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field plus a minimum of 7 years of related experienceWorking knowledge of basic mathematics, including computations based on field measurementsConsiderable construction-related training or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the jobCodes, materials, methods, and tools utilized in construction, repair, or renovation workConstruction practices, principles of construction management and project controls, with working knowledge in scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniquesPreferred Certifications:OSHA 30-hour certification (possess or obtain within 3 months of hire)Construction Quality Management (CQM) - preferredConstruction Manager in Training (CMIT) - preferredCertified Associate Construction Manager (CACM) - preferredSkills and Abilities:Work independently and handle all aspects of a project, including client interface, technical issues, documentation, and reportingTact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive and complex issues and situationsIdentify potential problems and derive recommended solutions from past experiencesSpecialized expertise with quality assurance and quality control techniquesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, Internet navigation, project management information systems (PMIS), web-based tools, and other specialized equipmentRead and interpret plans and contract specificationsCommunicate quality issues effectively and responsibly, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers (contractors, owners, subconsultants, designers, architects, and fellow team members)Obtain and maintain required certificationsStand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditionsSafely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrainGuidance/Responsibility:Provide owner representation across all project phases, coordinating quality, cost, schedule, and contractor activities to support successful project deliveryExercise independent judgment in managing project activities based on size and complexityWhat We OfferWe're focused on providing the tools and support you need to succeed, both personally and professionally.
