Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and elderly populations, ensuring the use of standard assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Provide individualized speech therapy sessions that aim to improve communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to establish cohesive care strategies.
• Offer education for patients and their families to encourage progress outside of the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy sessions to ensure consistent patient care throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain diligent and timely documentation following all state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on best practices and innovations in the speech therapy field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
