Fabrication Supervisor

Fabrication Supervisor Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Fabrication Supervisor to join a growing automation and machine-building organization in Victor, NY. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to support advanced custom automation systems across a variety of industries while helping expand a newly established service department. The ideal candidate knows fabrication and machining, but just as importantly, knows how to lead people, solve problems, develop talent, and keep a team moving forward. Pay Rate: $80,000-$100,000/yr Shift(s): Day Shift Monday - Friday Job Duties: Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Internal Fabrication employees across multiple disciplines. Establish clear priorities and delegate work effectively based on production needs and employee capabilities. Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing communication, feedback, and support. Oversee apprenticeship and employee training programs, including documenting progress and coordinating with HR. Support the development of employees through hands-on mentoring and technical training. Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and other staffing activities. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Coordinate daily production activities across the Toolroom, EDM, Boring Mill, Waterjet, Cut-Off, and Paint areas. Review upcoming work and determine which components should be manufactured internally versus outsourced. Monitor production schedules and identify potential delays or capacity issues before they impact project timelines. Establish and adjust production priorities based on project requirements, available resources, and department capacity. Work closely with the Director of Fabrication and Outsourced Parts Coordinator to balance internal and external workloads. Monitor production and operating reports and develop solutions to address manufacturing delays. Coordinate outside processing such as heat treating, plating, and painting.
