Custodian - Nightshift

Position Details Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 pm - 1:30 am (Full-Time) Pay: $19.76/hour Must have vehicle to drive to several locations throughout San Diego This position will be servicing areas in Valley Center and supporting as needed in San Marcos, Fallbrook, Vista & San Marcos as needed. Mileage will be reimbursed after the 1st site. What You’ll Do: As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. You’ll also clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Ensure dispensers are filled and monitor supplies across the facility. Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants. Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members, creating a positive and welcoming environment. What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player. To succeed in this role, you should have: Experience: At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Skills: Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols. Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable using basic cleaning tools and equipment. Safety First: Safety is our top priority at Verde.
