Job Title AHMG Oncology & Hematology – APRN or PA‑C – New Smyrna Beach, FL (On‑site) Posted 2 days ago Overview AdventHealth Medical Group Oncology and Hematology is one of the largest hematology and oncology practices in Central Florida. The practice has made significant strides in breast, colorectal, and lung cancer research, early diagnosis, and positive patient outcomes. The practice seeks experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our team in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. APPs play an active part in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care under physician supervision and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with a team of 2 Hematologist Oncologists, 2 APPs, and support staff. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with weekend rotation 1:3. Average 18 patient encounters per day, including inpatient and outpatient consults and follow‑ups. Perform physical examinations and evaluate and treat hematology/oncology patients primarily in the outpatient setting. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as routine laboratory, X‑ray, etc. Monitor patient treatment courses and make appropriate referrals to physicians or specialists. Collaborate with physician supervisor and staff to provide consistent care to patients and support staff. Schedule Details Schedule: Monday–Friday. Campus: AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. Call: Required 1:3 rotation, including overnight; rotating weekend, weeknight, and holiday call. Knowledge and Skills Strong communication skills. Strong medical decision‑making skills. Strong clinical background with emphasis on oncology‑related conditions. Availability to work evening and weekend hours as needed; on‑call responsibilities may require night and weekend service. Education and Experience Master’s degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) Studies. 1–2 years of experience as APRN or PA‑C in a Hematology/Oncology practice preferred. Licensure, Certification, and Registration Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license. ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA certification required. BLS and ACLS certification required. ONS certification preferred.
