Overview Openings as of 9/4/2025 Title: Kindergarten Teacher Job Location: Paw Paw Early Elementary Reports to: Building Principal Job Type: Full Time / Exempt Job Posting Dates: August 20, 2025 until filled Qualifications Hold a bachelor’s degree in education, or in a related field, from an accredited college / university Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification (ZE, ZC, ZG) or meet Michigan teaching permit requirements through enrollment in a teacher certification program leading to a Michigan elementary teaching certificate Knowledge of Michigan State Standards for Kindergarten Experience in an elementary school setting, preferred Responsibilities Provide direct instruction to Kindergarten students, fostering creativity and innovation Maintain a structured environment that supports classroom management where students feel safe and engaged, promoting focus and collaboration Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports in order to advance student achievement Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction, develop lesson plans and instructional materials, provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students Acknowledge and embrace diversity to create an inclusive environment that respects and appreciates different backgrounds and perspectives Establish open communications with students, parents, staff, and the community Participate in district and school professional development programs, as required Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning Any other duties assigned by the Principal, and/or designee Salary/Benefits Salary/Benefits: Per the PPEA Contract Days/Hours Days/Hours: Follows PPEA School Calendar Start Date Start Date: As Soon As Possible How to Apply How to Apply: Apply Here STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION: It is the policy of the Paw Paw Public School District that no discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, height, weight, marital status, disability, genetic information or any other status covered by federal, state, or local law be allowed during any program, activity, service, or in employment.
