Position Type: Student Support Services Date Posted: 8/14/2025 Location: Paw Paw Early Childhood Center Posting Dates: August 14, 2025 – Until Filled Title: Lead Associate Preschool Teacher Job Location: Early Childhood Center Reports to: Early Childhood Director Job Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt Qualifications: CDA/Associates’ in Early Childhood, or willingness to complete this in the next 3 years Knowledgeable in Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Education and the Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Prekindergarten in Michigan Prior Successful Experience Teaching Young Children (Preferred) CPR and First Aid Certified(Preferred) Knowledgeable and Experienced with Licensing Requirements for Child Care in the State of Michigan(Preferred) Knowledgeable and experienced working with children from diverse cultures and backgrounds(Preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Preferred) Job Description: Lead teacher in a Preschool Classroom for 3-year-olds Creates and facilitates a welcoming, nurturing, engaging, and fun learning environment for young children and adults working in the classroom Keeps updated records and abides by all state licensing rules Plans, prepares, and implements daily lessons and activities Supervises all activities of the classroom Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly environment for young children Attends all recommended meetings, training, and professional development Maintains confidentiality about children and their families Supervises and participates in outdoor play and learning Builds positive relationships with children and families Effectively uses technology for instruction, assessment and classroom management Uses regular observations and assessments to guide planning in order to meet the individual needs of Children, and holds Parent-Teacher conferences twice a year Promotes understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds of families Other duties as determined by the Director Salary/Benefits: Starting $16.50, $17.50 with a CDA, commensurate with experience.
