Facilities Attendant

Position Summary The Facilities Assistant supports the Operations and Facilities teams in maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the 10th Street facility. This position is responsible for routine cleaning and maintenance, event setup and breakdown, snow removal, and assisting with special facilities projects as needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, works independently, and is committed to providing excellent service to internal customers and facility users. This is mostly a daytime role working approximately 15-20 hours per work. Essential Responsibilities Cleaning and Facility Maintenance Develop and follow a regular cleaning schedule to ensure all areas of the 10th Street facility are maintained according to their level of use. Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning products, tools, and equipment. Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms and related fixtures. Clean, organize, and sanitize kitchen and break areas. Dust and clean furniture, walls, equipment, machinery, and other surfaces. Clean walls, ceilings, windows, fixtures, and equipment using appropriate cleaning methods, including steam-cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms, and hand and power tools. Prepare and use cleaning solutions in accordance with manufacturer instructions and established safety procedures. Replace light bulbs and perform other basic facility upkeep as assigned. Collect, sort, and properly dispose of trash and recycling. Monitor assigned areas and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate member of the Facilities or Operations team. Perform snow and ice removal as needed to help maintain safe entrances, walkways, and other exterior areas. Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in an organized and serviceable condition. Event Setup and Breakdown Set up, arrange, and remove tables, chairs, decorations, and other equipment for meetings, events, and facility activities. Assist with event breakdown and return spaces to a clean, organized condition. Respond to changing event and facility needs with flexibility and attention to detail. Special Projects Assist the Facilities and Operations teams with special projects and other facility-related tasks as requested. Support general facility improvement, organization, and maintenance initiatives. Perform other duties consistent with the position and organizational needs.
