SOUS CHEF (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Full‑time Sous Chef position at Eurest, Schwab Omaha, 200 S. 108th Avenue, Omaha, NE. Assist Executive Chef in food preparation, coordinate kitchen activities, supervise staff in the Executive Chef’s absence, and maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Schedule & Compensation Monday‑Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Pay Range: $22.50–$25.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available. Responsibilities Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards. Ensure deadlines are met based on production orders. Supervise hourly food‑service associates: interview, schedule, payroll, train, counsel, review performance, and recommend disciplinary action. Store food in designated areas, following corporate, state, and federal food‑safety and sanitation procedures. Maintain proper handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures. Clean workstation and keep display equipment free of debris to comply with sanitation, safety, and merchandising requirements. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner. Understand menu items, explain them accurately to associates and customers. Keep up with peak production and service hours. Monitor inventory and deliveries; track production, consumption, and waste; inform supervisor of low supplies. Perform other duties as assigned.
