Technical Business Systems AnalystLocation: Chicago, IL Duration: 12 MonthsPrimary Skills: PowerBI, UI/UX, Tableau, SQLJob Description:• Managing, execute and support the development, analysis and growth of ALI Dealer and the client’s Field Team “Engagement Analytics.” Much like a marketing analytics position, this business analyst will be responsible for monthly attendee metrics, developing analysis to identify and understand attendee trends with a goal to increase attendance.Typical Day:Analysis of business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makersWorks directly with business partners to understand informational needs and create reporting/visualization solutions that turn data into critical information to ultimately drive business decisionsIdentify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.Participate in cross functional teams to address business issues.Prototypes solutions for displaying information based on business needs. Prototype, develop, rapidly iterate, test, and deploy into production automated reporting solutionsDemonstrates knowledge and ability to handle basic issues independently.Present insights outputs to leaders and advisors,Locating and obtaining data from various internal and external sourcesPotential to perform other job duties as assigned by management from time to time.Incorporate statistical methods and/or digital methods to solve business problemsParticipate on 2-3 projects concurrentlyTechnical Skills Required:2+ years of experience in design and prototyping dynamic views and visualizations for large and complex data sets in Tableau and/or Power BI2+ years of practical experience delivering production deployed solutionsVisual design expertise & passion for graphic designWorking knowledge of one or more programming languagesExperience with data structures using SQLStrong knowledge of Microsoft Management studio, R, SQL, DevOps, Excel, Alteryx, Snowflake is a plusDesign thinking experienceUI/UX experienceSoft Skills Required:Good communication skillsSelf-starter and driven while working well in team environmentCreate innovative solutions to solve business problemsStrong attention to detail in order to spot inaccuracies in coding or dataEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree & 2-4 years of business insights and visualization experience, or Master’s degree & 1-2 years of business insights and visualization experience, Fields of study include computer science, business, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering or in a related field
