Senior Territory Cattle Sales Representative - Eastern ND, Northwest MN & Northeast SD

Merck Animal Health seeks a Senior Territory Sales Representative to lead business development across Eastern North Dakota, Northwest Minnesota, and Northeast South Dakota. The role involves developing territory strategies, building customer relationships, and driving sales growth across the beef and dairy portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans targeting sales growth and market share expansion
- Build and maintain relationships with veterinarians, producers, distribution partners, and industry influencers
- Identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and develop strategies to address business challenges
- Drive demand generation through customer engagement, educational programs, and field events
- Analyze territory performance, sales trends, and competitive activity to inform business decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years sales, livestock production, animal health, or agricultural experience with bachelor's degree; or 10+ years without degree
- Knowledge of beef and dairy industries including Cow/Calf, Feedlot, and Dairy production systems
- Proven ability to develop and execute territory business plans driving sales growth
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
- Sales data analysis, market trend interpretation, and business analytics capability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile business systems
- Willingness to travel extensively including overnight and occasional weekend activities
