RN-Outpatient Team Nurse

Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Register Nurse to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in‑basket support with the electronic medical records. Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models. Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols. Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient‑centered care of patients. Other duties as required. Qualifications Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. Degree from accredited academic nursing program; if program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO. Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire. Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred. Maintains current training in BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider), and additional certifications based on area of service (CDS Outpatient, Oncology Chemotherapy certification, ACLS, PALS, Pediatric Urgent Care PALS). Experience: Minimum new graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program. Other duties as assigned. AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED.
