Two contract opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers to work onsite at the elementary and middle school levels. These assignments offer the chance to collaborate within supportive teams, implementing custom educational strategies that help each student thrive.

Essential Qualifications:

• Hold an active CT Special Education Teacher License with all necessary certifications required by the state
• Prior experience teaching students with a range of disabilities across K-12 settings
• Familiarity or experience with CT-SEDS is highly preferred
• Demonstrated skill in developing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and employing evidence-based instructional methods
• Strong organizational and communication abilities, with a collaborative approach to working alongside staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction and classroom support to students with special needs
• Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize CT-SEDS for documentation and progress tracking, when needed
• Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments conducive to learning and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintain regular communication with families and actively participate in meetings and team conferences

Current Openings:

• Assignment at a central high school: 9/28 - 12/23
• Assignment at a middle school: Immediate start with a tentative end date
