Trailer Mechanic

Ace welding and trailer co. Would be nowhere without its experienced maintenance technicians. We are seeking a technician with some liftgate installation and troubleshooting experience. You would be working closely with the other maintenance technicians and management to assist with the overall complete repair of liftgate and trailer equipment. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for serviceability, is ambitious, takes direction well, and thrives in a team atmosphere. The position is permanent and full time in St. Hedwig, Texas. Objectives of this role Performing service repairs in a timely manner Consistently meeting performance expectations Responsibilities Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components. Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in liftgates. Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on liftgates. Troubleshoot, repair, replace wood and aluminum flooring. Troubleshoot, repair, replace all components of suspension. Troubleshoot, repair, replace side sheets, roofs and all associated components. Troubleshoot and repair all aluminum or steel components of trailers. Troubleshoot all electrical components. Troubleshoot and repair all brake components. Read, understand, and adhere to all aspects of safety program. Required skills and qualifications Must be mechanically inclined. Knowledge of the working systems of a vehicle. Knowledge of types of metals. Three or more years of trailer mechanic experience. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work some extended hours as needed. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback. Must pass background check and drug test. We offer: Full-time position of 40 hours. Starting wage at $25.00 DOE. Work uniforms. Weekly pay + OT after 40 hours. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life & other supplemental insurance.
