Metrologist - Stability Storage

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Metrologist for its GMP laboratory in Middleton, Wisconsin. The role involves maintaining, calibrating, and optimizing laboratory instrumentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting clinical research operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and remedial maintenance on active laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Execute calibrations and qualifications including IQ, OQ, and PQ procedures
• Provide installation oversight and vendor documentation review for new equipment
• Prepare and assist with standard operating procedures for instrumentation
• Address internal and external audits regarding laboratory instruments and compliance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant vocational/technical qualification
• At least 4 years of experience in laboratory instrumentation maintenance and calibration
• Understanding of FDA and GXP regulations and requirements
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in cold storage environments
• Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
