Ld Supply Chain Associate Department: PCH-MAIN | Distribution & Central Supply Location: Phoenix Shift: Mon-Fri, Days, 6am-2:30pm Category: Material Management/Purchasing Posting #: 1030687 Employee Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Ld Supply Chain Associate takes a lead role in executing supply chain work including receiving, inventory control, supply ordering, stocking & replenishment, and clinical equipment cleaning for all clinical and non‑clinical areas of the Hospital, ensuring smooth operations. This position is required to have functional knowledge of all supply chain job areas of responsibility. This role will lead continuous improvement projects and other major supply chain initiatives under supervision and will train new and current employees in Phoenix Children’s supply chain processes. The position works with the Department Supervisor to manage schedules, monitor supplies, and address issues by analyzing data, finding solutions, and communicating with all stakeholders. This role must be capable of assuming Supervisor duties in their absence, building positive relationships within the supply chain team and throughout the facility, placing an emphasis on customer service. Position Duties Guide and support the supply chain team in the daily execution of work to ensure uninterrupted supply availability and effective completion of tasks, including receiving, inventory control, supply ordering, stocking & replenishment, and clinical equipment cleaning in accordance with established processes. Assist the Department Supervisor in managing the daily schedule, recommending adjustments where needed for daily priorities and staffing challenges; monitor and assign daily routine tasks of the team and escalates issues as needed. Embrace Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), tracking trends and best practices through root‑cause analysis and assessment and audits of KPI’s. Ensure communication and consistent workflow in and between supply chain departments by identifying information gaps and providing resolutions to build a culture of cooperation and trust. Under supervision, lead continuous improvement and other major projects to drive expanded capabilities and improve the efficiency of existing processes. Assume responsibility for training new and existing employees on all job functions and responsibilities. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested. Experience in Supply Chain management and operation improvement in a healthcare setting. Special Skills Familiarization with all aspects of Materials Management functions (receiving, courier, material handling, equipment cleaning, bulk ordering, dispatch responsibilities); ability to cross‑train across these areas. High level of flexibility to understand the Materials Management process and support all Supply Chain operations. Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. Demonstrable customer service skills including strong communication and problem‑solving abilities to anticipate customer needs and swiftly resolve issues.
