About the Position

MRI Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-hour varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call; 36 hours weekly guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic MRI scans in a high-volume, fast-paced inpatient environment
• Assist radiologists and referring physicians during MRI procedures
• Ensure patient safety and quality care across all age groups, from infant through geriatric
• Make technical decisions to achieve the best possible MRI image quality using various scanning equipment
• Operate hospital and department computer systems accurately and efficiently
• Participate in after-hours standby and callback shifts, including on-call and holiday coverage as required

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification in MRI
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience
• Proficiency with GE or Philips MRI scanners
• Ability to apply advanced MRI physics and technical skills in a high-pressure environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center or similarly high-acuity setting
• Demonstrated ability to float across departments within scope of competency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage simultaneous demands professionally
