Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and discreet observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment strategies focusing on short-term objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrated on enhancing communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members to craft a unified care approach.
• Provide education for patients and their families, ensuring consistent support to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in continued professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through education and peer interaction.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are yet to achieve ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days from the start of employment.
