Nurse Practitioner

TITLE: Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Part-Time DEPARTMENT: Medical / Clinical DIVISION: Clinical Services REPORTS TO: Medical Director / Supervising Physician (MD) SHIFT: Part-Time (Flexible Schedule; occasional extended hours as needed) POSITION SUMMARY ANIZ Inc. is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Infectious Disease experience to join our clinical team on a part-time basis. This role provides high-quality, patient-centered medical care to individuals impacted by infectious diseases, including those served through Ryan White and other federally funded programs. The Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of the Medical Director/MD to support prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of infectious diseases while ensuring continuity of care and improved health outcomes for diverse patient populations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, physical assessments, and patient histories. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS, STIs, Hepatitis, and related conditions. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician. Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results in accordance with clinical guidelines and scope of practice. Provide ongoing care and medical management for Ryan White program participants and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Deliver patient education on medication adherence, disease prevention, risk reduction, treatment options, and overall wellness. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, behavioral health providers, case managers, outreach staff, and community partners to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal requirements. Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development. Uphold infection control standards, ethical practices, and patient confidentiality at all times. QUALIFICATIONS Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia (or applicable state). National Board Certification required (FNP-C, FNP-BC, AGNP, AGACNP, or related specialty). DEA registration and prescriptive authority required. Minimum 2–3 years of clinical NP experience preferred. Infectious Disease, HIV/AIDS, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or Sexual Health experience strongly preferred. Experience with Ryan White-funded programs highly desirable. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. Commitment to culturally competent, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care.
