Outsource is hiring Low Voltage Technicians in the Charlotte, NC area. We are looking for candidates across all experience levels, from entry-level installers looking to grow in the trade to experienced technicians with strong hands-on backgrounds.

Pay: $18–$45/hr depending on experience and skill set

We have opportunities for candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

Structured Cabling / Voice & Data

• Pulling, routing, dressing, labeling, and terminating Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cable
• Installing and terminating jacks, patch panels, 66/110 blocks, and other network cabling components
• Installing J-hooks, ladder rack, cable tray, racks, and other cable support systems
• Building out IDF/MDF rooms and telecommunications closets
• Rack and stack work and equipment rack installation
• Cable testing and troubleshooting

Data Center

• Installing and routing copper and fiber cabling in data center environments
• Dressing and terminating cabling at racks and patch panels
• Installing ladder rack, basket tray, cable tray, and equipment racks
• Supporting rack and stack and data center infrastructure installations

Fiber Optics

• Installing single-mode and multi-mode fiber
• Fiber termination, connector installation, and testing
• Fusion or mechanical splicing for candidates with applicable experience
• Working with SC, LC, ST, or similar fiber connectors
• Testing and troubleshooting with OTDRs, power meters, or other fiber test equipment for experienced technicians

Fire Alarm

• Installing and terminating fire alarm cable and field devices
• Installing devices such as pull stations, horn/strobes, smoke detectors, heat detectors, modules, and panels
• Supporting fire alarm installation, service, testing, and troubleshooting based on experience
• Programming or commissioning experience is a plus when supported by prior experience

Access Control / Security

• Installing access control, CCTV, intrusion, and security cabling
• Installing and terminating card readers, door contacts, motion detectors, cameras, door strikes, mag locks, keypads, and related devices
• Supporting panel installation, testing, service, and troubleshooting based on experience

Audio / Visual

• Installing low-voltage cabling for commercial A/V systems
• Installing TVs, speakers, projectors, displays, PA systems, and related A/V equipment
• Supporting system testing, troubleshooting, and integration based on experience

Who We Are Looking For

We are open to a wide range of skill levels. You do not need experience in every low-voltage system listed above.

Entry-level candidates may be considered for cable pulling, pathway installation, equipment support, and other installer-level work.

Experienced technicians may be matched with opportunities involving cable termination, device installation, testing, troubleshooting, fiber work, rack buildouts, or specialized low-voltage systems.

Candidates with backgrounds in structured cabling, data centers, fiber optics, fire alarm, access control, security, CCTV, or audio/visual systems are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

$18–$45/hr depending on demonstrated experience, technical skill set, and the type of low-voltage work being performed.
