Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in Bangor, ME. The role involves providing specialized respiratory care with a focus on pediatric and adult critical care, including airway and ventilator management, ABG analysis, and non-invasive ventilation. This position requires strong critical care skills and adherence to clinical protocols, with most needs on night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 0645-1915 with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification; minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; clinical experience in critical care, airway management, ventilator management, ABG analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue and rapid response procedures; BLS certification; NICU/PICU/Peds RT with NICU/PICU experience and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with oscillator ventilator, Sensormatic and Drager ventilators; experience working with adult patients and pediatric patients in critical care settings.
• Additional Information: The candidate must be comfortable working with adults if applying for NICU/PICU/Peds position, as this is crucial throughout the contract. The position is highly focused on critical care, protocol-driven respiratory therapy, including airway management, ventilator support, ABG analysis, and emergency response. Orientation includes a general shift plus unit-specific shifts, with on-site training. Floating to other trained units is permitted.
• Equipment Used: Servo U, Servo I, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, V30, EV300 (NICU only), Vero Biotech Nitric Delivery System.
• Support within Department: Lead/Charge Manager, Assistant Manager, RT Educator, Medical Director.
