Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Respiratory Therapist License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; CRT with extensive experience considered Certifications: - BLS required - NICU/PICU/Peds: BLS, NRP required; PALS preferred Must-Have: - Strong critical care experience including airway and ventilator management - Experience with ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue, and rapid response - Inhaled medication administration experience - Familiarity with Oscillator 3100, Sensormatic, and Drager ventilators Description: Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a start date of 10/20 needed. Candidates with RRT credentials are preferred, but CRT candidates with the right experience will be considered. The position will start on day shifts but may require transitioning to night shifts later in the contract. The therapist will work in a unit that provides critical care and is protocol-driven. Common patient conditions include COPD, CHF, cystic fibrosis, ARDS, trauma, pneumonia, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, GBS, COVID-19, and RSV. Travelers will be expected to work primarily with adult patients. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. Voluntary call is available, with a notice of 2 hours before and after shifts. The scrub color is flexible as long as it remains professional.
