Overview
Labor & Delivery RN (L&D) in Kodiak, Alaska. This travel - temporary assignment starts 08/24/2026 and runs for weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,211 to $2,335. Shift is 3x12 rotating. Guaranteed hours are 60 hours every two weeks (may be called off for one 12-hour shift per pay period). The role is in an acute care, labor and delivery unit within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care for mothers and newborns, including vaginal delivery support and postpartum care; manage hemorrhage risk and postpartum complications
- Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals using external monitoring; assist with intraoperative care during Cesarean sections as needed
- Administer medications and infusions (IVs, oxytocin, magnesium sulfate) and support obstetric procedures
- Perform newborn assessments and provide couplet care, including thermoregulation, APGAR scoring, identification, and lactation support for parents
- Maintain thorough Epic charting for all patient encounters; ensure accurate documentation of care, medications, and procedures
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; participate in unit operations; may float within scope to meet facility needs (unit or affiliate)

Requirements
- Active RN license (ability to practice in the posting region; relocation required; locals not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles away)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; L&D experience preferred; travel experience not required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Epic charting experience preferred; must meet submission requirements (SSN, DOB, RTO; copies of certifications)
- Evidence of ability to work in a hospital labor and delivery setting; willingness to work weekends and two of the three major holidays; on-site duties may involve floating within scope

- Housing: Typically provided (1-bedroom unit; traveler occupancy; pets not allowed; available no earlier than 72 hours before start and not longer than 24 hours after end; traveler must clean prior to departure)
- Vehicle: Facility-arranged car/rental; single authorized driver; 30-mile radius; driver’s license and proof of insurance required; return vehicle clean and with full gas
- Parking: Free
- Travel support: 24/7 recruiter and travel support; ongoing account management
- Pre-start modules: Approximately 16 hours required; more than 20 hours requires PM approval
- Compliance and assignments: Locals not accepted; pending license not accepted; max 1 calendar year on assignment with at least a 6-month break before returning
- Interdisciplinary support: PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services available
- RTO and holidays: Pre-approved time off on request; must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
