Job Information Title: Social Worker MSW Location: Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 Pay Range: $77,812.80 – $97,281.60 per year Shift: Day Salary is based on prior educational background, experience, skills and professional experience. Job Overview Will provide concrete resources and educational support to Cancer Support Community members, hospital patients, and their families. Must be able to work flexible hours including occasional evenings, be willing to work with Cancer Services Interdisciplinary Team, and be available to participate in outreach events. Will assist with program development, program calendar preparation and distribution, and facilitate support groups. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Qualifications Masters degree in social work. Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Prior experience in medical social work required. Oncology experience preferred. Scheduling Requirements Shift: Day Full-time Essential Functions Collaborates with team members to facilitate consistent and coordinated patient care. Establishes and facilitates patient and family support groups. Maintains professional affiliation and license; participates in continuing education for professional development. Participates in policy writing. Provides direct counseling and emotional support. Provides psychosocial assessments of brain tumor patients and their families. Provides staff and public education as appropriate. Serves as patient advocate. Serves as referral/resource person.
