Registered Nurse - Oncology

$2448.00/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and enhancing patient outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate treatment. Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and institutional protocols. Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to therapies, documenting findings accurately. Educate patients and families on disease process, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns to appropriate healthcare team members. Maintain compliance with safety standards, including infection control and medication administration. Participate in unit-specific training, ongoing education, and competency assessments. Qualifications: Possess a valid New Jersey or Compact RN license. Have at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Oncology nursing experience. Hold current BLS certification. Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR or similar systems. Pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a score of 80% or higher. Be willing to work night shifts, every other weekend, and float to other units as required.
