Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide advanced cardiac care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position requires expertise in post-open heart surgery recovery, managing hemodynamic support, and working collaboratively within the ICU team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer specialized cardiac medication and interventions to critically ill patients.
• Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms, including atrial, ventricular, and paced rhythms.
• Provide post-open heart surgery recovery care, including IABP & Impella management.
• Assist with patient assessments, documentation, and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float across ICU, IMC, and other units to support staffing needs as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey or Compact State nursing license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Proven experience with post-open heart open recovery, IABP, and Impella devices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EKG rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia management.
• Strong clinical skills in CVICU patient care and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple units.
