Together, we support thousands of local animal welfare groups nationwide and have helped find homes for approximately 7 million animals through in-store adoption events.The Corporate Governance & Securities Paralegal is responsible for managing and supporting the Petco's corporate securities activities, including equity administration, regulatory filings, compliance, and governance-related matters. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, adherence to securities laws, and effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManage corporate securities administration, including equity plans, share issuances, transfers, and cancellationsMaintain accurate capitalization tables and securities recordsPrepare, review, and file required regulatory and securities filings (e.g., SEC filings, stock exchange disclosures, or equivalent jurisdictional requirements)Ensure compliance with applicable securities laws, regulations, and corporate governance standardsSupport corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, financings, reorganizations, and restructuringsCoordinate with legal counsel, transfer agents, auditors, regulators, and financial institutionsAdvise internal stakeholders on securities-related policies, procedures, and best practicesMonitor changes in securities regulations and assess impact on the organizationAssist with board, shareholder, and committee matters related to equity and securitiesProvide training and guidance to junior staff or cross-functional teams as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field5+ years of experience in corporate securities, corporate governance, legal, or compliance rolesStrong knowledge of securities laws, regulatory frameworks, and equity administrationExperience with capitalization table management and equity management platformsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsProfessional certification (e.g., corporate governance, securities, or compliance-related credential)Experience in publicly listed or highly regulated organizationsFamiliarity with international securities regulations (if applicable)Key CompetenciesRegulatory complianceCorporate governanceRisk managementStakeholder coordinationDiscretion and confidentialityProblem-solving and independent judgmentQualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws.
