How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Intraoperative Technical Support: Facilitates the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures by proactively handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assisting with essential tasks such as maintaining hemostasis.

• Sterile Field Preparation: Expertly prepares the operating suite by organizing sterile and non-sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies tailored to the specific requirements of each surgical case.

• Patient Perioperative Assistance: Assists in the safe preparation, transportation, and positioning of patients, ensuring proper draping to maintain a sterile field and prioritize patient safety.

• Instrumentation & Safety Oversight: Maintains a meticulously organized surgical field while strictly monitoring and tracking instrument, sponge, and needle counts throughout the procedure to prevent retained objects.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
  degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
