Our client, a leading manufacturer located in Bay Shore, NY, is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join their team. Known for delivering high-quality products and exceptional service, they offer a clean, friendly, and team-oriented work environment.
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale customers, vendors, and sales representatives. You will handle order processing, track shipments, answer inquiries, and ensure a seamless post-purchase experience from order entry through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Answer inbound phone calls and emails from clients regarding order status, product availability, pricing, and shipping tracking.
- Order Entry & Processing: Accurately enter custom product orders, revisions, and re-orders into the internal ERP/database system.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve order discrepancies, shipping delays, or billing inquiries with a professional, customer-first approach.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with production, art/design, warehouse, and shipping departments to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
- Account Maintenance: Update and maintain accurate customer profiles, order histories, and detailed interaction logs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in an office customer service, administrative, or order processing role (manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution background is a plus).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with a warm, professional telephone etiquette.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and quick, accurate data entry skills.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of organization, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and seeking a long-term position with growth potential.
