As RN on this team, you will help facilitate this mission by providing direct patient care, assisting with various unit tasks, and pursuing individual educational resources to further your nursing abilities. And, if you're relocating, you could be eligible for our Relocation Assistance program, which provides up to $10,000 (dependent on distance and position) to help cover moving expenses.A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 5:30PM, with on-call requirements, including weekends.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide direct nursing care.Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.Educate patients and their families, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accredited school of Professional NursingCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experienceAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one year of hire based on the department servicePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)RN experience in a Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab.Physical Requirements:Frequent walking from department to departmentSitting at a workstation or deskOccasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as files, documents and computer printoutsFinger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill levelPersonal protective equipment:Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for proceduresThe policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our tobacco free and drug free environment.
