Engineering Technician, Passive Safety

What to Expect The Engineering Technician will join the Austin Passive Safety Test Team at Tesla, focusing on executing, analyzing, and reporting on vehicle engineering development, regulatory certification, and consumer protection crash testing within strict program timelines. This role involves hands‑on preparation and maintenance of test vehicles and equipment, ensuring high‑quality and repeatable results in a collaborative, team‑based environment. The team comprises test engineers and technicians specializing in vehicle and mechanical systems, instrumentation, anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs), abuse testing, flammability testing, pendulum testing, fabrication, and imaging.
