B-Level Automotive Technician

Position Overview

Express is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician to join a reputable automotive service team in Watseka, IL. This position is ideal for a technician who can independently diagnose and repair most vehicle systems while working alongside senior technicians on more advanced diagnostics and repairs. The right candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Location: Watseka, IL

Shift:
1st Shift
Monday - Friday
Occasional overtime as needed

Pay:
$30+/hr Depending On Experience

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and engine performance issues
Perform preventative maintenance services and manufacturer-recommended repairs
Conduct vehicle inspections and accurately document findings
Utilize scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Perform engine, transmission, cooling system, and suspension repairs
Communicate repair recommendations clearly with service advisors
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Automotive Technician required
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to perform repairs independently with minimal supervision
Experience with electrical diagnostics and vehicle computer systems
Knowledge of brake, suspension, steering, engine, and drivetrain systems
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to use diagnostic scanners and repair software
Own tools required
ASE certifications preferred but not required

Ideal Candidate

B-Level Technician with the ability to diagnose and repair most vehicle systems
Looking to continue developing toward Master Technician status
Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-focused
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
