Rehabilitation Specialist

Position: Rehabilitation Specialist. Location: South Mountain Recovery Health Center, Phoenix, AZ 85042. Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Shift: Day Shift. Salary: $19.12–$21.37 per hour. Travel: up to 50%. Responsibilities Assist clients in identifying treatment and recovery goals and provide supportive services to help them reach those goals. Implement services outlined in Individual Service Plans, coordinating and monitoring rehabilitation-related services for clients on the clinical team. Communicate and document client progress toward recovery. Embrace the recovery philosophy and promote a safe recovery environment for clients. Use brief clinical interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive listening skills to engage and support clients. Engage and provide direct support to clients’ natural support systems. Work in partnership with Employment Specialists, RSA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, community program providers, and other parties to assist clients in increasing or maintaining employment, education, and other meaningful daily activities. Qualifications Associate’s degree in behavioral health, or high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health experience; or bachelor’s degree (not in behavioral health) with 1 year of behavioral health experience; or bachelor’s degree in behavioral health with any experience; or master’s degree or higher in behavioral health. Minimum 1 year of supervised experience as a Rehabilitation or Employment Specialist, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (preferred). Valid Arizona driver’s license. Minimum 21 years of age, at least 4 years of driving experience, and compliance with the company driving policy. Valid Arizona Level1 Fingerprint Clearance card, or ability to obtain one within 7 working days of employment. Interpersonal skills that enable professional and positive relationships with co‑workers, family members, and community members. Strong communication skills with a non‑judgmental approach, effective listening, and positive interactions. Basic understanding of DSM‑V preferred. Must pass background check, TB test, and other pre‑employment screening. Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute.
