Receptionist

Receptionist-PThe Receptionist is responsible for answering telephone calls and guiding residents, family members, visitors and staff to appropriate personnel for assistance. This person works in conjunction with the facility Administrator and Business Office personnel to ensure that the Business Office works efficiently.Essential FunctionsAnswer telephone calls in a timely and pleasant mannerAssist with mail distributionAssist with general office duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager and/or facility AdministratorResponsible for accounts payable, collecting, processing and submitting invoices for payment in a timely mannerAssist with updating employee phone list as neededAssist with mailing out monthly resident statements for room and boardActively assist and participate in the enhancement of the lives of our residents through our dedicated approach to patient care and our census building program.Actively assist and participate in the development and retention of staff through recruitment, training and nurturing the employees of the nursing facilityAssists in verification of EPLS and OIG for vendors (initial, monthly & annually)Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Business Office ManagerEducational/Training RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent is requiredExperience RequirementsExcellent oral/written communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent organizational and customer service skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative but not necessary all inclusive, of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
