Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist Assistant will play a crucial role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, and modalities as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to facility protocols and safety guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in physiotherapy.

Skills

• Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience in various settings such as acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and home health is preferred.
• Strong understanding of care plans and discharge planning processes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care.
