Foster Care Licensing Specialist

Foster Care Recruitment & Licensing Specialist Devereux’s Foster Care Programs provide therapeutic, family‑based care for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, emotional or behavioral challenges, or instability in their home environments. These programs partner with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and local lead agencies to recruit, train, and support therapeutic foster parents who can meet the complex needs of youth requiring more than traditional foster care. Position Details Salary: Starts at $24.04 - 28.23 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience) Schedule: Full-Time; community based position-works around families schedules. Coverage Responsibility Suncoast region: Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties. Benefits and Rewards Up to 24 PTO days/year (increases with service) Up to 64 hours of sick time Low‑cost medical, dental, vision 403(b) retirement plan ASCEND Tuition Program Student loan repayment assistance Payactiv: Access to earned wages early Employee Assistance Program & Discounts Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field (required) Experience: Two years experience working with foster families (preferred); Prior foster home licensing experience (plus) Other Requirements: Certification as a Child Welfare Licensing Counselor by the Florida Certification Board or provisional certification with completion of PRIDE training (required); Valid FL driver’s license (required); Pass pre‑employment medical screenings (Drug Screen and TB Test); Pass Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida; Physical requirements including walking, sitting, standing, some lifting and managing resistance up to 75-100 lbs.
