Director, Project Management - Product Solutions Organization The Role: As a Project Director at Capital One, you will create strategy and lead a team through high priority projects for the company. Responsibilities of a Director, Project Management: - Leading moderate to large sized teams to drive complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction. - Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements - Ensuring projects are being delivered on time and on budget within a challenging environment while simultaneously managing risk - Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery - Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments The person will: - Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts - Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment - Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style - Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience - At least 7 Years of Project Management experience - At least 3 Years of People Management experience Preferred Qualifications: - Masters or MBA degree - 8+ years of Project Management experience - 4+ years of People Management experience - Product Management experience - PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills - Excellent problem solving and influencing skills At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Chicago, IL: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Project Management McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, Project Management New York, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for Director, Project Management Richmond, VA: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Project Management Riverwoods, IL: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Project Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
