Public Information Officer (Part-Time) The Township is seeking a public information officer for a part-time position, up to 15 hours per week. Under the direction of the Township Administrator, the public information officer is responsible for press releases, newsletters, emergency communications, and managing the flow of information between the Township and the public. The public information officer writes about Township activities to keep the public informed and connected. Responsibilities Write and distribute press releases. Create and send newsletters. Manage emergency communications. Manage flow of information between the Township and the public. Write about Township activities to keep the public informed and connected. Qualifications Excellent writing skills. Computer skills. Verbal communication skills. Social media skills. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field preferred. Graphic design experience and/or experience in public relations or similar position within local government a plus. Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license.
