The Outpatient Adult Psychiatry practice is a highly respected, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive, confidential mental and emotional health care. Our clinicians including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, mental‑health counselors, and board‑certified psychiatrists deliver tailored evaluation and treatment services supported by the full resources of ChristianaCare. We care for patients experiencing a wide range of behavioral‑health needs, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, relationship and family challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, and other emotional or mental‑health concerns. Duties / Responsibilities: The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments. They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff. The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed. Position Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED required. Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
