What You'll Do

• Provide specialized care to adult patients with conditions like CVA, TIA, and those requiring IV management and tube feeds
• Manage and monitor arterial lines, Foley catheters, and CVL placements
• Titrate drips including Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Support patient care with duties like medication administration, blood glucose monitoring, and assisting with activity of daily living
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST
• Ensure documentation in EMR Meditech Expanse accurately and efficiently
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols, including COVID-related precautions

What You Need

• Required:
• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible in Louisiana
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience, including NIHSS competency
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Experience with CVL management, arterial lines, and advanced monitoring
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Preferred:
• Experience in PCU, stepdown, or Medsurg units
• Skilled in drip titration and complex medication management
• Comfortable floating to other units such as Stepdown and Medsurg
