This includes managing acute and chronic medical conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, mentoring students and mid-level providers, and supporting Esperanza's spiritual mission. Physicians must be committed to biblical ethics in medical practice and care delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Excellence & WorkflowArrive to shifts and meetings on time and preparedComplete clinical documentation within 24 hours of patient visitsMaintain current licensure, DEA registration, and CME creditsManage patient panels and meet personal volume targetsRespond promptly to urgent patient calls and messagesTeam-Based CareLead and participate in team huddlesDelegate responsibilities to medical assistants and support staff effectivelyEnsure timely follow-up for chronic conditions, abnormal labs, and no-showsCoordinate care for walk-ins and unscheduled patientsEncourage efficiency and minimize patient wait timesModel positive, respectful communication with all team membersChart and complete referrals in real time when possibleClinical JudgmentDeliver appropriate care based on established clinical guidelinesPractice cost-effective, evidence-based medicinePerform and document procedures accurately and safelyMaintain up-to-date problem and medication listsFollow up on all high-risk labs and referralsAvoid prescribing or referring for elective pregnancy terminations; follow a biblical ethic on reproductive healthHolistic & Spiritual CareScreen for psychological and social needs and refer appropriatelyProvide spiritual care, including prayer, Scripture, and gospel-centered encouragement when welcomed by the patientRespect boundaries and avoid coercive spiritual conversationsServe all patients with humility, love, and self-control, regardless of faith backgroundInterpersonal & Leadership ResponsibilitiesResolve conflicts directly and respectfullyMaintain a positive presence and contribute to team moralePrecept and mentor medical learners and support team membersProvide supervision for NPs and PAs as neededParticipate in daily staff devotions and contribute to Esperanza's spiritual cultureBe actively involved in a Bible-teaching churchSuggest and support continuous quality and process improvementAdditional RequirementsUse administrative time efficientlyCollaborate on educational and promotional initiatives (optional)Assist with grant, fundraising, and outreach efforts (optional)QualificationsBoard-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/PediatricsSpanish proficiency or strong willingness to learnExperience working in underserved communities preferredStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsCommitment to integrating Christian faith into patient careMust be eligible for and maintain necessary credentials for licensure and hospital privilegesCOVID-19 Vaccine RequirementAll Esperanza Health Center employees, contractors, and volunteers working on-site are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
