Corporate Controller

Our client located in the Middle GA Macon/Warner Robbins area is looking for a Controller. If you are looking for an opportunity that is highly visible and will allow you to work closely with upper management and report directly to the owners, this is the position for you.

Summary of Duties:

• Manage and supervise the accounting department and other employees working in the accounting department.
• Prepare monthly general and standard journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, account reconciliations, and various other accounting statements and reports for Communications, Pension Plan, Post Retirement Plan, and Non-Operating Companies
• Prepare Federal, State and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with established guidelines; keep informed of governmental regulations and procedures affecting the institution's finance and accounting procedures
• Supervise completion of sales tax returns
• Complete quarterly worksheets for all Companies.
• Reviewing each company's trial balance, making sure deferred and regular income taxes are properly recorded and consolidated.
• Income Taxes: Manage all timing issues (bases for deferred taxes) and permanent differences between the books used for audits and the amounts being reported on the tax returns.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• Quickbooks Experience and Strong MS Office Suite with EXCEL
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities at one time and consistently achieve results on a timely basis.
• Salary range 110k-120k plus Excellent Benefits with 401k match and a very stable organization.
