You will: Assist with residential plumbing repairs, installations, replacements, and upgrades Help install and replace water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, piping, drains, water treatment equipment, and other residential plumbing systems Prepare tools, equipment, materials, and jobsites Assist with removing and replacing existing plumbing equipment and components Use common hand and power tools safely and correctly Assist with basic plumbing tasks under the direction of an experienced plumber Learn proper residential plumbing procedures, installation methods, and best practices Help identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues as your skills develop Transport and organize equipment, materials, and tools Follow instructions from experienced plumbers and field leaders Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards Protect customers' homes and property while work is being performed Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners Help deliver an exceptional customer experience Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles Complete required job documentation as assigned Represent Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with professionalism, reliability, and integrity What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you have: Some previous experience in plumbing, construction, maintenance, HVAC, mechanical work, or another hands-on trade Plumbing experience or trade-school training is a plus Experience working safely with common hand and power tools Strong mechanical aptitude Interest in learning residential plumbing systems and developing your technical skills Ability to follow instructions and learn from experienced professionals Willingness to receive coaching and apply feedback Strong attention to detail Dependability and a strong work ethic Ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Professional communication and customer service skills Respect for customers, their homes, and their property Ability to work in a physically active, hands-on environment Motivation to continuously learn, improve, and grow within the plumbing trade Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening What Success Looks Like Here Our most successful Plumbing Assistants bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a genuine interest in developing their skills .
