Field Clinical Specialist

Description The Field Clinical Specialist supports the Sales team within a 3‑hour radius of the surrounding Syracuse area by providing technical, clinical, and educational/training assistance. Responsibilities include new patient/customer product demonstration and training, patient follow‑up and support, sales lead generation support, and partnering with sales representatives to maintain and strengthen client relationships. This position reports to an Area Sales Manager and receives daily instruction from sales representatives. Responsibilities Serve as the primary resource for clinical support in patient selection, basic troubleshooting, device utilization, and follow‑up for company products. Attend patient device implants and perform follow‑up to ensure successful implantation experiences. Provide education to external staff on bandage changes and other product specifications. Offer timely product follow‑up and support to patients, physicians, and staff as needed. Respond to customer needs and product complaints by developing creative solutions or collaborating with SPR team members. Support sales representatives by meeting with existing and potential clients to identify clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to demonstrate how company products can help achieve those goals. Ensure facilities have clinical literature and marketing collateral. Provide support for industry conferences, exhibits, and labs as directed. Maintain knowledge of SPR products, competitive devices, and new or competitive techniques used in neuromodulation. Maintain open and effective communication with all personnel, customers, and SPR employees. Establish relationships with all pertinent account players, including patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, sales representatives, and internal team members. Collaborate with internal partners to formally educate and train physicians and hospital/clinic personnel on technical matters related to SPR products, conducting and coordinating in‑person and remote training to include: One‑on‑one in‑services Staff in‑service educational programs Seminars and/or workshops for healthcare facilities Manage administrative tasks such as timely patient documentation and data collection in Salesforce. Remain current on all third‑party accreditation requirements to ensure full access to each account. Comply with all aspects of the Corporate Compliance Program. Provide positive and constructive peer‑to‑peer guidance. May assist with cases outside of assigned geographic territories as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements College degree preferred in a clinical or related field. Experience working with patients, preferably in a clinical environment. Prefer 3‑5 years of related clinical support experience. Proven record of achievement in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment. High level of professionalism. Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and active vehicle insurance policy. Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication. Ability to accept feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement. Flexibility for work outside of normal business hours. Beneficial Skills and Experience Prior experience in an operating room setting strongly preferred. Experience working with pain patients.
