HR Generalist-Bilingual Spanish

Glendale Heights, IL | On-site

Salary: $70,000–$85,000

A manufacturing company is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations for a multi-shift production workforce. This hands-on role partners with employees and managers on recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage recruiting, interviews, new-hire orientation, and onboarding.
\n
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing workplace concerns and supporting conflict resolution.
\n
• Administer benefits enrollment and communicate policies, programs, and employee updates.
\n
• Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS activities, including timekeeping, onboarding, and payroll processing and approvals.
\n
• Support compliance with employment laws, FMLA requirements, and company policies.
\n
• Coordinate workers’ compensation cases, return-to-work programs, and OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
\n
• Support employee development, safety training, performance reviews, and organizational changes.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or an associate degree with 5–8 years of HR experience supporting a manufacturing location.
\n
• Experience supporting hourly employees in a multi-shift production environment.
\n
• Knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, benefits, and employment laws.
\n
• Experience with workers’ compensation, workplace injury procedures, and OSHA recordkeeping.
\n
• Proficiency with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office; Excel analysis skills preferred.
\n
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment when handling confidential matters.
\n
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred to support employee conversations, policy translations, and benefits and compliance communications.
\n
