Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Current, active CDE certification required
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably working with moderate to severe needs
• Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive curriculum
• Skillful in classroom management and implementing behavioral interventions
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to fostering a supportive, respectful environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement curriculum tailored for students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Write and maintain comprehensive IEPs, monitoring student progress and adjusting approaches as needed
• Work closely with support staff, therapists, and general education teachers to deliver integrated instruction
• Engage with parents or guardians to ensure open communication and shared educational goals
• Create a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom atmosphere promoting growth and inclusion
• Uphold all regulatory and school-specific standards while providing documentation as requested
