About the Job AutoCAD Designer
Job Description:
- This is a career position in design and project management for automatic fire sprinkler systems in commercial tenant improvement/new construction projects.
- The person in this role will complete company sponsored training and certifications relative to those activities.
- This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD drafting functions.
- Applicant must also be proficient in Microsoft Office, be a good communicator, possess excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with general contractors and other subs to gather required information to design the projects sprinkler system.
- Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD
- Create material listings for projects
- Perform hydraulic calculations
- Work with other departments within the company to handover proper job information
- Maintain organized records including but not limited to tracking of submittals, change orders, and permits.
Must Have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Ability to perform hydraulic calculations
- Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
