As an Insurance Application Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of new business applications—directly impacting our mission of delivering trustworthy and efficient service. Responsibilities Serve as a quality checkpoint, reviewing all new business applications for accuracy and completeness. Review final expense and simplified issue applications to render decisions on insurability, including approvals, declinations, and plan changes within stated guidelines. Exercise an authorized approval limit of $300,000. Conduct research such as MVR checks, criminal record searches, and vendor database reviews to validate applicant information. Identify concerns with agent business practices and escalating when appropriate. Determine required underwriting documentation and prepare correspondence to agents. Enter accurate, detailed case notes to ensure transparency of actions taken and next steps. Conduct business ethically, in compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards. Qualifications Exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 1+ years of experience in life insurance, underwriting, or a related field, or a strong consumer‑level understanding of life insurance concepts. Meet the Charter of the French Language requirement (if applicable): beginner, intermediate, or advanced English proficiency, as the role involves communicating with internal teams and agents regularly. Solid understanding of company products, plans, and applications. Working knowledge of MIB codes and common medications. Typing speed of 35 WPM with 90% accuracy. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and the ability to learn internal systems quickly. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
