Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

salary: $70,000 - $83,000 per year
shift: Second
work hours: 3 PM - 11:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with 1st shift supervisor to assist completing orders, and preparing for the following days 1st shift workflow.
• Monitor assembly or production lines to hit output targets on time.
• Inspect finished goods for defects and coordinate machine repairs or routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Enforce OSHA rules, run safety talks, and ensure proper use of heavy rigging, cranes, and personal protective gear.
• Direct machine operators, welders, fitters, and crane operators to meet shift goals.
• Monitor steel cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing to keep lines moving without delays.
• Check finished steel beams for correct size, weld strength, and structural integrity before shipping.
• Track output numbers, note machine downtime, and pass important notes to the 1st and 3rd shift supervisors.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 40 hrs of overtime per week
